Ok, after 6 months the upgrade bug has finally bitten me am getting janspeed sports exhaust and hurricane induction kit fitted to my s1 next week.

Seems that quite a few of you on here have had these mods so can anyone give me an idea of how much extra you had to pay on your insurance as a result?

Depends entirely on your insurer. Mine, didnt go up () because they were taking the piss anyway.

Somw dont mind, so long as the mods dont make the car "more attractive" to thiefs.

Others, when told "its like a standard part but better quality" dont bat an eyelid.

Others will flame you and send the boys round to pound your little arse, to the tune of "deutchland uber alles"

Completely depends. you pays your money you takes your choice

I carefully described all my mods to my insurers and it didn't affect my premium.
