Hiya

yep - I bought my S1 sport 160 from there last september, and had it repaired there after a bump. I found them all very reasonable - the Sales guy still has my service book though .

The Service department seemed very tuned in - I liked them, and they did their very best to sort things out with the insurance co quickly..... and over Christmas too.

I'll be continuing to take my car there for services.

Hi
They are a good bunch, they used to be Haydons - a Lotus main dealer but dropped the afiliation. The Haydon Group went bust (I think) last year (Allegedly Haydons Salisbury was the only bit in profit) The Engineering team bought out the lease from Haydons for the facilities and just kept going with the original team. Cos is the head techie guy there and has worked on Loti for many years, he has looked after my Elise for the last 5 years after I got hacked off with the appalling, shoddy and expensive service from an other well known souther dealer.

Sportomtive are not too expensive and they really know their stuff.
They also do lots pf upgrade work, they know the guy who does head work for them and for a grand or so they will pop off you head and inlet manifold and get them ported and polished which with a sports exhaust and ITG filter will give about 155BHP. I met a very happy customer while I was waiting for a service. I have the ITG with a sport exhaust and am getting 136 bhp peak and 135ftlbs torque without the porting, (maybe next service ).

They are friendly and helpful e.g. they lent me a spare office for me to work from when they did a service for me and they are happy to talk about pros and cons of upgrades etc. They have also fitted a carpet set for me and did a fine job. They are not snotty about you doing you own work and gave me the advice I needed to change my own track rod ends and steering rack gaiters

The only downside is I don't think they have a courtesy car yet but you should ask If you do need one as that was 6 months ago)

I can not recommend Sportomotive highly enough, I have been around the country hunting for good service/dealers, and haydon/sportomotive in salisbury have always delivered the goods. Far better than many of the mainstream dealers around.

The team that was at Haydon, is still at sportmotive, and are great, I regularly have my Exige and Elan M100 serviced there.

Good service, friendly, knowledgeable, good pricing, and very enthusiastic about what they do.

All they need to do, to make the experience better, is to get a decent coffee machine..

;-)

Yeh im impressed thanks all for the help-just what i wanted to know!!! nice to hear good things-im new to the lotus scene and want to try and do right by the car, at the same time within budget (wait a minute did i say budget?).

I remember going to sallisbury on a shopping trip! few years back before cars and girlfriends (both bloody expensive...) and can just about remember lots of nics lotus's driving around then...so i think i know where it is to.

Oh and i hate coffee, so thats no problemo.
