Upgrades???

Looking at doing some sort of upgrade (increase in bhp) to my bog standard S2 (if there is such a thing!!!)
What would anyone recommend?? Would prefer to have it done by my dealer... but I am open to ideas??
Anyone had good or bad experiences of engine upgrades done to their babies??
What sort of costs should I be looking at for different things??

All depends on how much dosh you want to spend - work on about £80 per bhp

Dealers dont really do any upgrades any more - offically the Lotus Motorsport division will give you 190bhp for about £6K IIRC

roughly:

exhaust/CRP/induction kit - about £700 + 15bhp
+cams and or headwork - about £2K ish +25-30bhp
+ecu/big valve head/hotter cams/forged pistons - £4Kish + 60-80bhp
+supercharger - £6.5-£9K +100bhp
or Honda transplant 200bhp+ £10K

more bhp isnt cheap (have had all the above other than Honda transplant!)and to be honest you wont notice a big difference until youve added at least 30-40bhp on
