Whats up party people!!! ok 2 questions to throw at ya'll! ok i want to know what temp your elises run at! mine ran at 80-84, until now it runs at about 77-79. Is this normal, odd or what????

Ok secondly anyone out there recommend around Bristol a good place to get my elise serviced??? Williams are mega bucks..so would like to avoid them at all cost!...

Ok guys thanks and hope you all reply soon (wheres dragster...you da man!)

You shouldnt say things like that! big heads, only get bigger till they pop

running temp is normal. anything from 69-85s when running or low 90s when in traffic is fine. Panic if nudging 105 etc. otherwise all elises vary on temperature (and coolant levels) so yours is PERFECTLY normal.

cant help on the Bristol front, sorry

Anyway, can any other "Party people" help?

dragstar is correct (amazingly! ), nothing to worry about.

If the gauge was a needle instead of a digital readout you probably wouldn't even notice.

Mmm don't want to be a spoil sport but it could also be a thermostat stuck open which would give a similar sudden stepdown in temp - having said that a 5 deg change is not much - see if it drops lower on a motorway run when it will be 'over cooled' if the thermostat is duff.

Yep, my gauge does that too. Worried me at first, but I figure ignorance is bliss

A friend of mine uses Sportomotive in Salisbury - I've not yet reached a service with mine, so don't know them personally, but I'll go there first on his recommendation - be a nice drive from Bristol..

If, in the steady state (constant speed) your car is running at 69C indicated . . . I'd be having a look to see what was wrong with it . . . the temp does vary, quite significantly, on engine speed and road speed transients, but steady state should be steady +/- 1C approx . . .
