right 3mm in 200miles is excessive for tyre wear (even yokis).
so ive tried to work out how to avoid excessive tyre wear:
1) stop standing starts/traffic light grand prixs
2) stop excessive breaking at the "last minute"
3)avoid potholes/dodgy surfaces?
any others? or any advice to minimize tyre-wear?
right. im off to smear them with lard and then a healthy coating of WD40
ps, i almost forgot that new tyres come with a slippy coat on i was about to plant it around a sweeping bend, but i just remembered hew:

You pays your money and takes your choice.
Soft compound = Good Grip = High wear
Hard compound = Fun Drive = Low wear
If you want to race other people you will need a soft compound.
If you want to play get a hard compound (that are half the price of the yokos) ok the car will feel like its on marbles but the Elise can handle it.
