Had a sit in an Elise yesterday, fitted in OK and found it easier to get in and out of than expected.

Only problem was my eye level was close to the top of the windsreen, may or may not be a problem, I guess I need to drive one and see how I get on.

However, I wanted to ask if the top of the windscreen on a Europa is higher or just the same. Does the Europa have the same screen, and is it at the same angle?

As there are no Europa's close by I'm hoping there's someone on here who's been in both and can advise.

I would assume they are the same (or dam close)

the issue really is one of how padded the seat is, and thus how high you are in the car

I'm quite tall and have a long back. For comfort I asked Lotus to slightly recline the drivers seat with a shim under the front fixings. That was enough to make me more comfy and also dropped my line of sight a tad. Might be an option

Hi, I've had both cars and the driving position and windscreen is the same.

I'm 6ft 2" and found that the visibility was massively improved by fitting a reduced size rear view mirror (I think Eliseparts and Hanger 111 sell these). Turning left, all I could see was mirror, not road!

A cheaper, but no less usable option is to just get a suction cup mounted smaller alternative. I believe you can get them from Halfords etc.

Thanks for all the replies, I'll try and get a drive in one shortly, hopefully in the next week or so.

Removing the centre mirror and sun visors always helped me, and a slight slump in the seat.
