Elise wont start
Discussion
Hi,
I have an Elise S1, which has been sitting in the garage for some time. When the battery went flat I invested in a trickle charger. This seems to have charged up the battery fine, but the car still wont start. The engine turns over okay and all sounds fine. Any tips for getting it to catch or for diagnosing a problem?
Thanks.

Fuel in the tank ?
Preferably lots of fresh fuel. Modern unleaded petrol goes 'off' quite quickly, particularly if there's only been a little fuel left in the bottom of the tank (the volatile elements of the fuel evaporate), so fresh petrol is always a good idea.Other than that, it's one of two things: fuel or spark.
As Chris says, make sure your fuel pump is priming and check for a spark at the plugs when you turn the engine over (its possible you've got a bit of damp in the electrics or a connection has come adrift).
Is the immobiliser definitely switching off?
