I have just had a call from a Caterham dealer I went to see at the weekend. I was looking to part exchange the Liz in against a 7 and wanted to know what he was willing to offer. The answer............£12k
£12k for an imaculate 1999 111s with 21,000 miles on the clock! Are they having a .
What should it be worth? I was thinking £15k.
I don't think i'll be going back there again anytime soon.

The car had a full service and MOT when I bought it 3 months and 2,000 miles ago, it really does not need any money spending on it. It's a shame really, I love the car to bits but am really hankering after a 7 at the moment.
I am shocked at the mark up that these guys are expecting to make (£3k). Just goes to prove that all car dealers are crooks

Agreed, having been getting some trade in prices over the last couple of months it sounds as though they _are_ expecting to be making at least 3k

Less discount on screen price, less warranty cost, less reconditioning cost, less VAT on Profit margin, less funding costs, less heat/light, less staff skiving on PH! .... where did that 3grand go?
