Yesterday my 111S1 failure the dreaded MOT with high CO reading at fast idle.
Current spec of car is:
Piper 270 Cams, Janspeed Manifold, B&C exhaust, flowed VVC head and of course Emerald ECU.
The MOT guy came up with all sorts of suggestions why it was running rich. Anyway, spent some time looking through archieves (not only PH!!) and understood that mapping could be out at zero load. I downloaded SW for ECU from Emerald Web site and made up a cable, connected it to my laptop and went to the MOT station for a test! I simply reduced fueling where the MOT guy tested, which got me the ticket! The MOT guy said he never saw anything like it and I then spent the last hour showing him and his mates all the software!
Fantastic. I work for a company that designs multi-million gate silicon chips....but technology (when it works) never fails to impress me!

very common and what a lot of owners do - my friend has 2 maps for his Emerald - one for MOT, one for normal running

I have one myself fro my Emerald- but it should pass with the cat back on as it is

still very cool when you demo to people your laptop plugged into the car etc
