just been to Asda, but when i started to move off, it wouldnt.

i gave it some revs and lifted the clutch and it jolted forward as if ice had bonded the wheel and hub and then "snapped" and become loose.

it was normal after that.

it's happened a few times, but i think its just weather related. there is a good week between each time i drive it

any ideas?

This happens alot on my S2. Sometimes I can leave it a day and its like this next time I get in it. Tends to do it after I've washed it aswell...Don't think its anything to worry about

Could be your rear pads getting water between them and the disc and starting to bond a bit. Mine does it after being left a while in damp conditions.

Yep, just pads sticking to disks. If where you park is flat you can just leave the car in gear and leave the handbrake off. Just remember it's in gear when you come to start again otherwise rapid progress may be made in to something possibly quite expensive and/or damaging!

Cheers,
Rob

No the problem you described is actually a common fault with Asda car parks. Go to Tesco twice weekly to cure it.
