Does the S2 aircon work well?
Discussion
I had (until it was stolen on 20/1/04) a starlight black 111s with aircon. In sydney, last week, temperatures where in the 30+ Celcius. Although you could feel the heat coming through the roof, the aircon kept the perspiration at bay- civilised even in antipodean heat and humidity (is it really a lotus?) Actually, kept the temperature "sweat free" however, my e46m3 can crank out ice...
I ahve an s2 without aircon and when it was really hot last summer i cooked at traffic lights etc.
My freind has aircon and took me out in his (at Le mans last year) we got a lot of strange looks with the roof up but boy was it worth it. It was the only time i actually got cool all week! So yes it does work quite well, well enough to keep the sweat off anyhow

Yep its true - went through Switzerland to Italy a couple of years ago in friend's Ferrari Spider - roof off heat unbearable, roof up with aircon on - sheer luxury , can see why folks have it in hot climes. Wouldn't have it on the Liz tho' - too unreliable and Brit weather not that hot really..
I didn't buy an S1 elise becuase it had no aircon- in Sydney summer, 30+ degrees and direct overhead sun makes driving with top down an extremely unpleasant experience- though bearable if you have a hat and have the aircon blowing in your face...
Even on a summer night, the humidity would make your shirt stick to you without aircon.. I drive at night with top of and aircon on in my S2 (beautiful!)
