Engine light

We filled the car up this morning (that may not be at all important though) and about 6 or 7 miles later the engine light has come on and stays on, could this be related? or should I just get it to a garage for computer diagnostics.

go to a garage when you can, and let them scan the error codes

however if its driving ok, it cant be anything serious - sometimes can be the emmissions throwing up an error ...you may find after 1/2 dozen stop/restarts it just clears itself..

My k series does this from time to time, tends to happen if ive had to fill with supermarket fuel. Should reset itself after 5ish restarts

Well.

Booked the car in to the garage and when setting off the orange light went off but we still took it in and they reported 2 error codes.
The car was revving too high but I dont know whether this meant on idle or too high as in over revving.
There was an issue with emmisions as well which gave another error code.


Also they reported that the spark plugs that were in it were incorrect, we have only had the car 3 weeks so do not know who or why incorrect plugs were in there. Strange
