No offence, but posts like this do make me chuckle. Youve fixed your budget and expectations but cant find what you want. Maybe your budget or expectations need adjusting?... Ph is among the best enthusiast classifieds but for Elises also try lotus clubs eg seloc.org you should have your pick of k series cars ( my choice with your budget) though you will find 111Rs if you look. But tread carefully i struggled to find a straight one at that price (and most of them seen to be red). Good luck, enjoy.

As per grifter.

If you don't want to buy from a dealer then PH is your best bet. Most private cars are priced reasonably and maintained by enthusiasts so there's a stronger chance your pre-owned car will have been loved and not abused (excl. track days!)

I sold my s1 within 24 hours with a FREE advert from PH for the asking price with both buyer and seller very happy, although seller (i.e. me) a little taken aback and not quite emotionally adjusted, but that's another story.

I wouldn't discount places like 'Autotrader' and a trip to your local library to check local papers.

This is where you can sometimes find the Lotus' which were not really bought by enthusiasts, more the buy on a whim or even fashion accessory......and then the reality of the car sets in and they just dump it. Low mileage and quick sale price, too.
