Went for a spin in a mates Mk1 Elise yesterday and was suprised how noisy the rear suspension was. He said it normal in Elises. Shirley not?

It was making one hell of a racket. Always loved the car's looks, but is this really normal?

yep - clinks pops and rattles are normal - crashes sounds a bit extreme - a small price to pay for levels of grip like it has - found a dry road for mine yesterday and I had forgotten how quickly it changes direction. Superb.

LSS is still noisy and clinky but even lower and stiffer - fabulous. Dragstar - mine is noisy anyway - how old is yours?

1999.

Is LSS really noisy? mine was fitted in march last year (nearly a year old) but makes NO noise whatsoever (except a few BIG pot-holes).

if it does i dont/havent noticed. mine is ridiculously low though. all those who have seen it can testify

the guy i bought it off planned to make it a dedicated track slag but had a change of heart and bought a 7 instead. lucky ol me!

Lotus sports suspension - the factory offering of uprated and lower shocks/springs

To be honest I know a lot of people that have upgraded from S1LSS to S2 LSS on their S2s as its even better...and you can pick it up for £500 ...tehn after that you can fit Nitrons (£1K)...then Dynamics or Pilbeam which is serious dosh (£2.5-4K IIRC)

mine looks just like yours actually, except mine has original 111s six spokes. Titanium and red hood is a great combo - but on my last mot the guy said the car was red - errrrrrrrr
