I've got the standard six-spoke wheels on my S2 and really want the 111s wheels but right now can't afford them. I thought the next best thing would be to colour my standard ones in the same colour as the 111s wheels!

Anyone know anywhere that will do it, or even know what the exact colour is!?!

Thanks for any help

no idea as to where to get it done, but the colour is along the lines of an "urban chrome".

just save for the 111s wheels!

they are mean. alternatively, place an ad in the free ads section under "wanted". you could get lucky and get a set cheap!

What colour is your car? I love the slightly darker effect:

My cars Gunmetal, I love the darker wheels but don't want to go totally black.

Just seen the pics you've posted:

DON'T DO IT - I think it looks better with the silver wheels, a very nice contrast IMHO.

I've got a 111S. The wheels are different - they are 1.5 KG lighter than the standard alloys. I was told by my Lotus dealer that it is not possible to fit the 111S wheels on a standard car, although I don't know if this is true, or if so, why you can't?
I'd steer clear of any DIY effort - they invariably look poor and/or don't last.

I think it's the other way around. The standard alloys aren't strong enough (there's a really technical term for that honest) to take the extra weight of the 111s apparently. Quite a few people have gone standard to 111s instead of going for the OZs.

Can't be right, can it? The difference in weight between the standard car and the 111S in virtually nothing. Be like saying, no fat blokes in the standard car.

Gunmetal & black wheels looks superb!! Car looks ten times more menacing ... I personally think its suits it very well. Personally, instead of getting the standard wheels in black, I'd opt for the OZs if money was not an object.
