Anyone out there running an Elise as a second car and know of a good insurance company.
Churchill's are asking £1000 and that's with a 2nd car discount of 65%.

Picking the new Elise up next Saturday. Can't wait.

Cheers everyone,

The only two that make any sense are Direct Line & Tescos (who are backed by Direct Line). Insure you house through DL & get a further £75 discount for the car & 25% for the house.

Check Lotus' web site. I forget their name but there is a company that specializes in helping people who appreciate these fine vehicles. They should be able to get you going for well less than a grand - especially if this is your second car and if you can tell them that you keep it garaged.

I got a quote for about £750/year with a 5,000 mile limit.

That'll be Lotus Esteem, otherwise known as AON. I got mine for 499 with 4000 annual mileage limit. Tesco and DL were coming in at around 600. I just got my Elise today and I absolutely love it to bits.

Now, if you'll excuse me I have to go out to my garage and find some part that I haven't polished twice already (it's too wet to drive!)
