does anone know how much its likely to cost to have a cam belt replaced in a sries 2 1.8 elise

I'd budget between £320-370 if you're planning on having the work done by a garage - The major 'C' service covers cambelt replacement and lots of other things that might be worth doing whilst the service panels are off ... The C service usually costs between £450-550, although this can be higher if you have a 111S and the VVC engine - If you shop around you might find a good price smile

'C' service hasn't included the cambelt change for a while (since Lotus changed the recommendation on cambelt service intervals). Servicing remains AABAACAAB....etc plus cambelt every 48k miles or four years, whichever is earlier.
I think garages now quote for C service with or without cambelt so don't assume the price in inclusive.
