Hi All,

My boot release cable on my Mk1 Elise snapped this morning! Fortunately the boot opened as it snapped, so I have been able to remove the old cable without problems. However, as i can't shut the boot until a new cable is in place, and the Elise is my only car, i'm stranded until i can find a replacement.

Anyone got any ideas of where i might be able to get a new cable this weekend (a tall order, i know!)?

Any suggestions much appreciated.

Cheers

DAN

bicycle shop maybe? I'm thinking the cable used for bike brakes may be similar.

might be too late, but any cable will do (een a bit of the broken one) as a temp measure. Just attach it to the mech and bring it out through the wheel arch liner over the RHS rear - that's where it runs anyway.

I stock the part but have only just seen your plight!
