Happy xmas guys!

I was wanting some opinions. I have a silver S1 and i am booking it in to get the interior revamped! At the moment i have a grey cloth interior which i wish to change.

I am in two minds, half alcantera (spelling) / leather, or full leather.

I alco cannot decide on colours!

Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

Alcantara has the advantage of being less slippy. Don't know about anyone else, but I tend to slide down in the standard Elise leather seats.

On the subject of which, does anyone have any sugestions for alternatives? How much more comfortable are the 111S and/or Mk11 seats?

Red looks very nice on a silver car,IMHO.

Id go for full alcantara - as above...is less slippy, dosent get so warm in summer/cold in winter. Also if you have the dash/centre console done etc then it dosent show the dust as much...when mine was plastic I used to have to hoover it weekly...now its monthly

Colours - mmmmm...depends on how loud you want be ...red...or red/black...or red/grey would look good IMO

cheers

On a silver car I'd go for blue / dark blue, IMHO of course... red would be louder, yes, but if you are going for a full interior revamp, it might be a but much?

just depends on what you want, really, try looking through an owners gallery to give you an idea of any proposed colour schemes.

Merry xmas!

IMHO the best looking interior on a silver car is the Sport 135 seats which are black with red 'cushions'. I looked at a silver and red car and thought the red was a bit much.

As you have a cloth interior the seats are a bit more padded than the std leather ones, so re-covering those will give a bit more comfort, 111S seats are better padded again. Try looking though the classified on here as mnay of the ads have interior shots to give you some ideas.

As for material, I'd back what bogie said about the feel but you won't be able to slide into the seat as easy as you can with leather.

Hmm....must admit to be being slightly biased on this one as my own silver Elise has a red leather interior. Personally, I think a combination of black interior and silver exterior on such an extrovert car as an Elise is somewhat Germanic and smacks of the dead hand of Audi TT syndrome (do Audi only make this car in Silver for all those independently minded advertising execs who park outside every winebar you drive past ?). Since you live in North Yorkshire like myself, you may not be too far from where I live in Harrogate so your perfectly welcome to have a look at my own car to get an idea as to what it looks like.

Actually someone close to me has a battleship grey Audi TT - just flat grey - looks awful, like someone forgot to do anything after the primer - must be one of those dodgy euro colours!

In my earlier post I meant that the red would look too much if you went the whole hog and had the dash etc covered in red alcantara as well! the sport versions with the red /black corbeau seats look mmmmmmmmmmmm!
