Elise S2 Xenon Headlight Review

I finally got around to having the Xenon Headlight upgrade kit fitted ...and all I can say is ...awesome

Sinclaires fitted them for me in a couple of hours, following the detailed instructions. They could be fitted at home if you have a garage/jack etc - basically you really need to have the car jacked up and wheels off to gain good access to the area near the front crash structure in order to fit the ballast units.

The difference is simply amazing...I had 'upgraded' bulbs before which made a small improvement, but this is something else...I can actually see where Im going at night time

At the moment Im driving 3-5 hours a day in the dark and instead of having a faint orange glow in front of the car, its like daylight, Im barely having to use mainbeam at all even on pitch black B roads.

All in all highly recommended if you use your Elise a lot in the winter.

Not at the mo - theres no external physical difference - they are inside the existing units..however the mainbeam/driving lamps look very yellow (even with upgraded Philips blue bulbs) whereas the xenon dipped lamps are a brilliant white.

Thanks Bogie - definitely a helpful review - HID lights are just so much better for hooning in the dark.
