Can you help, gears are now suddenly very hard to engage - all gears, when engine is off, no problems.

Could be clutch ?? Any ideas...

Yep, sounds like the clutch isn't disengaging.

Chances are it will be either a leak somewhere on the hydraulics or a faulty seal on either the master or slave cylinder.

Sudden, Just round the corner from my home luckly ! smile

After Various Calls think it might actually be the Clutch!

Will be the fingers on the side of the pressure plate that will have broken.
You may even have peppering around the inside of the bellhousing when you remove the gearbox from the broken pieces.

Sudden failure generally means one of the springs on the edge of the plate has shattered. I speak from experience (Again). Replace with the clutch plates from the 240R. Stronger and better power transfer.
