I'm looking at the S2 wiper kit that EliseParts have, they also have a version that plumbs in the washer directly onto the blade. Anyone tried either or both and can offer comparison or opinion?

Cheers.

the s2 wiper system is just as bad as the s1 i had. all the reviews i have seen say the arm with the jets in is a vast improvement over normal and one i plan to do once mine needs doing.

I already had an S2 arm on my S1 so I fitted the valeo vm15 (espace) wiper to it. it already has the spraybar attatched. You just need to get some washer tubing from motor discount store or ebay and route the tube direct to the spraybar. Half hour job, one word of advice- be very carefull working near the windscreen, they are quite weak(dont chip the edges), don't lean on them or rest tools on them while you're working.

I also did the intermittent upgrade at the same time, got a relay from scrappers for £3.00

Much improvment over the standard.

Do these 2 mods work on the S2 as well, or are they S1 specific ?

hmmm, I presume they would be the same, the only difference is if you had an S1 you have to upgrade the arm to the s2 version to allow the blade to clip in.
Maybe another S2 owner could shed more light?

Ps. looking at the seloc techwiki site the mods are listed under S1+S2 so should be good for both I think.

PPS Not sure about Toyota version though- sorry.

Me too for both mods. Very highly recommended and can't see why it wouldn't work on S2s

The only problem is getting the old relay replaced in the Lotus. It's under the pax side dash, iirc correctly there are two together and you have to replace it by feelng around as the space is too tight to get both your hands in and your head so you can see.At most it could be described as "a fiddle"
