HELP!!!! car wont rev

s2 Exige(04)
Started the car up fine today but as soon as I touched the throttle it stalled, it seems fine on tick over but wont drive, and wont even rev properly in neutral and I also now have, i think, whats called the mil light showing. I had a great drive Sunday and everything was fine. Any ideas?

Could be one of a few things maybe air mass sensor or coils? get a ecu reader on see what fault codes it comes back with.

no, not flashing, just on constantly
