Has anyone experienced a mild grinding noise when you ease off the gas?

Happens mostly in fourth and fifth, at lower revs and sounds definatly behind the driver rather than in front.

Any help appreciated so I can go armed to the dealer and not sound like I don't have a clue so he can't even try and fob me off.

So it's nothing to worry about then?

Thats a relief, why does it happen though?

I suspect that it's because when you ease off the gas the wheels are pushing the engine via the gearbox rather than the other way round when you are accelerating and the gears may not be meshed as well in these circumstances - hence the noise.
