Just had my first 'moment' in my elise. Going round a tight cormer the backend kicked out big time.

I managed to catch it but only just. All I can say is thank God I'd done some first lotus training last week or I'm sure I would have done some hefty damage....

For those of you that have not been on one I reccommend you do...best £120 I ever spent......Oh and I think it's time to get rid of my pzeros as well...crap in the wet as I discovered this morning.

glad your ok, although damage to you WOULD be acceptable as long as the beast is ok, yes?

Chassis, near miss means I lost it, almost hit something (the kerb in this case) but didn't quite..

Dragstar, the only damage to me was my pride as the little kids watching me from the bus stop were pissing themselves laughing at my gracefull sliding..

I stand ready to be corrected on any grammatical errors....

sometimes..when im driving. well actually when sat in traffic...

i look around at other drivers (looking at the car obviously ) and think "how much would you love it, if i broke down, right now?"

the thought of being "stranded" with shit-loads of people walking past, driving past all thinking " ha ha look at the flash git's motor...w@nker" gives me the shivers.

just dont want to give them the satisfaction.

you all know what i mean. good-lads.

I know what you meant to mean but you not say it like you meant it know what I mean?
'Near miss' means you nearly miss it so only conclusion is that you hit it.

Anyway I do not want to be troll so I will not be Mr English teacher anymore today.

it's just the stupidity of the english language I guess as logically what you say is correct. It's just that in reality a 'near miss' actually means I didn't hit it....stupid I know...

Matt,

I had a similar scare at very low speed a couple of years back - are your tyres ok? I was running on P-Zero's and they were overdue for a change. I went for Advan's and never looked back (or overly sideways...) after that!

Yes Ian it was....all that spinning in your elise taught me well! Only trouble is I think you might have started me down the upgrade route. My elise felt pretty pedestrian after your beast!
