Fancy a change?? Honda to Lotus

Hi Guys,

I've been reading the board for a while, keeping up with all the Elise goings on and I cannot abstain any longer, I MUST GET MYSELF INTO AN ELISE!!!!

I currently drive a Honda Civic Type R (New Model '51 Reg.) in Silver and have done 4500 miles since buying it in December. The car with options cost £16,850 new.

With home improvements ongoing I don't have a lot of free cash lying around so was wondering whether any current Elise owners fancied a change and would do a straight swap with maybe upto £500 extra from their Elise into a Type R?

I would be after one of the special editions 135/140/111s etc. with full Lotus service history. Colour any apart from yellow/BRG.

That's funny actually because at one time I was considering buying a Civic Type-R myself. I test drove one a few months back and they are bloody fast, as long as you rev it's balls off.

I'm not willing to part with my Elise at the mo' mainly because I can't justify a new car for the tiny mileage I'm covering.

Perhaps your best bet would be a trade in at a Lotus dealership, secondhand values for the Civic are pretty much at new price lists so if your going to do it, do it now!

I'd been considering a swap over the last few months as I'm moving home & could do with a liitle space in the boot. Civic Type R & 172 sport were the hottest contenders.
Unfortunately (for you) my car is standard 99T in yellow. Only 14,200 miles, leather, lamps & FLSH if you're interested though.
