Ok, I've got a first lotus day next week and I've just discovered that my insurance company doesn't cover me for it. Has anyone got any suggestions for who I can use just to cover me for the day as they won't even cover me with an extra payment?

Mat, I know this doesn't answer your question, but the likelihood of damaging your car at North Weald is very, very low. Only one car is in one area at any time, and there is masses of runoff. The M25 is going to present a far bigger hazard.

Does your insurance company not cover you for driver training?

Ditto, don't bother with insurance. No scenery to hit and no other cars in your part of the airfield. The M11 is far more dangerous.

Also its not 'airside' on the strip, its where they run a sunday market. Not saying you'd have an easy claim if you admitted it happened there, but you'd probably win. Easier to have the accident outside the gates though I guess.

Still you'd have to be a muppet to stack it there. i.e. keep driving off the huge area of tarmac, across some grass and then into something...
