I bought a brand new 111s 2 months ago from a official dealer in the midlands. Within the first few days of ownership i noticed it had three distinct, and quite loud rattles. One of which sounds like a bolt is moving backwards or forwards either under the gearstick or in the passenger side well.
I told the dealers about them at its 1000 mile service and they said they had only found and fixed one.
The other two are deffinately still there and getting worse - they really do make the car sound cheap!
My question is how far can I push the dealer to sort these noises out?
It really is affecting my enjoyment of the car cause i am always listening to them.
PS I had an S1 111s and it never rattled anywhere near as badly as this so these arent just "usual" lotus rattles we are talking about!

i would go to the dealer and ask one of them to come with you on a little drive. when he hears them tell him to sort it or you want an exchange.
sale of goods act 1979 (as ammended) s14 (i think) is where you need to be laddo.
good must be of "satisfactory quality" (i think).
just mention this law and he'll cream himself (i do it all the time at HMV etc).
let us know how you get on, big-lad!
