It's not the famous brake lights stopping on problem by chance is it? Had same prob with mine 2 months ago. Garaged for 2 days - battery flat - turned out brake lights coming on all by themselves in garage - Christine???

can i change the battery at kwik fit etc, or does it have to be the dealer?

My mate changed his battery not long ago and said it was a real mission having to move all sorts of stuff out of the way first. If you need it done fast see the dealer.

Personally I wouldnt trust kwik fit to tie their own shoe laces.

Changing the battery isn't the end of the world just remove the washer bottle and try and tie all the cables out of the way. Then get a belt and ues that to pull the old battery out and drop the new one in.

It'll save a few skinned knucles!

You plug it into the mains and the other end plugs into the ciggy lighter and it feeds the charge to the battery via that.

They're good in principle (I don't have one) but if you use the car a lot then you shouldn't need it if you battery is OK. I suggest get a new battery and see how you get on.

hey! enough of the

ok. trying to get hold of a battery.

looked on www.elise-faq.info (very good site) and read that some batteries require bits of wood etc to keep it in place.

also as some of the "clips" holding it in place differ from each model, id rather just get the EXACT same battery as is currently bending me over, and giving it some.

cant see the brand or code over the fekker.

any idea as to what it is?

(99' 111s) cheers guys.

just had a varta blue fitted, as the one in there was a "tungestone"

battery acid all over the floorpan, but it was all clean by the time it was done.

must say, excellent job by national tyre next to old trafford (near the roundabout which the A57 goes under).

he even quoted me on a set of rear neovas.

£234.00 is this good? (includes vat and fitting).

i have 3mm left and so have enough until spring!
