Had an eventful test drive in an s1 on saturday. Drive was quite good and had good thrash but upon returning to the dealership I stopped at traffic lights just outside the garage and a cyclist slammed into the rear end.

I have had my first accident in a lotus. I hope it will be the last.

When I came to a halt in the garage forecourt though I heard what sounded like a shovel-full of gravel slide along the undertray. Presumably this was caused by bits n' bobs that have come loose over the years. Is it likely that there is anything important rolling around down there and how can it be rectified?

would it be unreasonable to suggest that it could be gravel from a track day "off" ?

More likely to be gravel in the cockpit, as there are no carpets, if you get a stone in your shoe and transfer it to the car, it will rattle around until you find and remove it!

Under the seats is a particular favourite hiding place.
