Yes, Sinclaires have given me colourful before and after reports both times they've done my geo. The reports look like this: www.lotusrepairs.com/otherservices.asp?function=WheelAlignment
Bloody hell.
Full story is...i viewed the car, very nice impressed!.
Mot was up on car so went with owner to williams and had mot done and boot release sorted to. While this was done i had williams do a full check over, no real probs, the red clutch pipe was mentioned apart from that they did say its a nice car and well looked after.
Few days later i arranged a friend to have a look at it, he does bodywork and is a porsche owner and knows his stuff.
Before my friend could get a look at it, the owner of the elise rings me up"bad news...some f^%$*r hit me on my way to work". Apparently the nice lady didnt see the bright f*&^%$g yellow lotus!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
Owner was cool, he asked me to check it out before it went to graydons for the repair, it wasnt that bad, graydons agreed a repair job only. The woner also insisted on geo done to. The bodywork was repaired, upon the quality check at williams they noticed small crack in the screen so arranged for it to be replaced.
So the owner rings me today as he had to collect it earlier only to be told at quality check the w(*&^r who fitted screen has appeared to have scratched paint work (yep you guessed) the bit just repaired.
Long and short being graydons now have arranged to repair that scratch now!. So the cars wont be ready until nxt week now.
One good thing is that it appears the quality checking is very good?!.
Anyway i think it may give me some bargaining power??

possibly.
but the owner, has been very good in ensuring that the car is in tip-top condition. as you say, the dealer/repairer/MOT'er said it was well looked after etc.
he could have made an excuse to not show the car and then get it repaired (original damage) but didnt. he let you know.
at the end of the day, if everything is working properly and your happy with it, i cant see you getting it cheaper (if the price is right in the first place )

Yeh see your point! surprised how they keep the prices so well, appears a half descent elise r reg will set you back about 14-15k from a garage.. i looked at an r reg which was owned by a 22 year old and was obviously well abused he had it up for 13k. This car im interested in, when i saw it just hit you with the wow factor and it was obvious even to an idiot like me it has been cared for!.
Oh yeh thanks for you advice and replies earlir much appreciated

Ooo dragstar just saw your pics of your 111! thats a beauty...feeling those clear rear lights..yes indeed!
thank you Mister K...not bad for a kit-car, eh?
luckily they were already done, when i bought the car.
sounds like you are already on the slippery road of "modifications".
im hoping the councilling will help me overcome the urge to modify further.
its just barstewards like rob and bogie, that tempt me to do more.
Well im looking at an R reg, norfolk mustard, stainless steel Magnex sports exhaust, cat-replacement pipe, K&Ni,yoko's a3519 slightly wider 195's on the front and slightly wider 225's on
the rear. A very odd feature is on the interior the dash inserts which are usually the greyish colour are infact colour coded in yellow, sounds odd but looks well nice infact! the mechanic at williams mentioned how good it was, the owner seems sure it was a factory option!.. i dunno any ideas?
I do have some pics i took and a good one the owner did, but dont think i better post it here yet!
