Wiper Motor & Fuse

Hello people!

The wiper on my '99 S1 is blowing it's fuse when I leave the car somewhere cold and damp.

I'm presuming it's a dodgy motor and I'm about to take it somewhere to get the motor replaced or reconditioned (don't fancy paying somebody £300 plus fitting + vat for a new wiper assembly!), but before I do that I'd like to know if this is a common problem or if people have had the same problem where the motor wasn't the cause...

Any info would be greatly appreciated

Not had this problem but the wiper motor's from a Citroen ZX (front) - £15 from your friendly local scrappie. If you want the whole motor and mech try www.douglasvalley.co.uk - should do the whole lot for about £125.
