rear number plate

I'm putting a new rear plate on my Elise and can't work out how the rear plate is attached. Is it just stuck on? How do i get it off without causing damage??

Mine was held on with two screws in holes drilled directly directly through the clam into the boot, and two pieces of very dirty foam backed tape. Take the two screws fully out, and then gently easy the plate away from the clam.
