hi, been away for the weekend (thank god) and enjoyed a nice blast around the A58 to leeds.

when i got there my throttle went a bit funny. when i pressed the accelerator, there was a momentary lapse and the revs dropped slightly, then after a second or so, the car revved as normal.

upon pulling away, the car (when engaging 2nd) stuttered before it delivered the power to the wheels.

whats happening people?

p.s. im not sure what this is, so apologize if its been covered before!!

Does it do it at a specific rpm or on acceleration/decelleration?

it does it at around 2-3rpm but once when i started it, it felt like it was "chugging" as it idled.

i got the feeling that if i hit the gas, it would "chug" or "burble"

any ideas..not to bothered as i drove from newcastle-leeds-manchester without anything, and also im seeing bruce on wednesday so he can have a quick "shuffty".

if its at the same rpm it sound electrical - but just possible it could be fule starvation and or too much air will have the same simptoms - will be easy to tell once Bruce wires it up

does it happen when you blip the throttle too?

I recently had this on the Exige, and it turned out to be the HT leads arcing on the block combined with 2 out of 4 T-pieces cracked causing vacuum leak.

The engine used to get bogged down when blipping the throttle to change down, and sometimes didnt idle properly but went fine otherwise.

Fairly cheap fix excl. labour.

could be ht leads, but ill just let bruce have a look at it on wednesday.

if it had cracks, then shouldnt it do this every time i drive/start?
i drove from newcastle-manchester without having it happen once?????

heat and humidity play a part - long run nice and dry?
