Morning one and all,

My MOT is due at the beginning of next month and I'm not sure where to take it. ATS locally do all the work on my Pug, incliuding MOTs and I'm very happy with them but should I take the Elise there too - it's only the MOT which is a standard set of tests and you can get a 'while you watch' done there too.

The other options is take it to Fibreglass Services where I get my servicing done.

What does everyone else do??

dont know cuzza, i have this problem aswell.

are you sure ats/kwik fit etc will do it?

i know its just a simple MOT, but when i went to pick up a mate, i asked them to tighten up the screws/bolts holding the undertrays on. they would not touch it all, saying they cant.

could be the same for an MOT?

No way! Sounds like they were being a bit paranoid about damaging it or something.

Guys at ATS seem like a decent bunch, I'm sure they'd appreciate a change from the usual Mondeos etc. Pug is in for a service there today, so I'll check it out.

They were up for it, haven't booked in yet - probably next week some time as I'm away on business again at the moment.

Will let you know how I get on.

Thought I'd report on this as not everyone has a friendly specialist on the doorstep.

Big thumbs up to ATS! The lads there looked after the car very well and were extrememly careful with it especially going on and off the ramp. I'd definitely take it there again.

I found out something rather startling though, if they can't see it they can't test it, point being that the undertray on the car obscures quite a few bits and bobs but during the test, nothing can be removed from the car. While this seems like a great thing as you get away with murder, it also means there coul dbe something dangerously wrong with car and the tester not spot it through no fault of his own.

If you do take it to an ATS or similar, I'd recommend you stay and observe just to be sure.

excellent!!

could be a plan here, but as i now am of the DE-cat club, i think ill stick with the "£5 in yer back pocket sir" for the emissions test at my local.
