my elise came under heavy kebab attack last night.

some idiot threw half his food over my front scoop/grill thingy onto the radiator thingy!!.

i've mopped it up but am worried about damage due to "juices" in the radiator/fan bit.

tell me she'll be ok?

iam going to get a full car cover for it, its the only way it will be safe!! any good places to get one?

Don't panic - it'll be fine, to be sure, just pour a load of water over the rad to wash it out (rain gets in there anyway so it's waterproof.

I got my car cover from Halfords for about 70 quid and it's a breathable one. It's made by Tyvek I think - the more expensive of the ones they offer and you'll need the medium one.

Beware that if you live in the kind of area that kebabs get chucked at your car then it's likely some scrote will nick the cover!!

Hey dragstar, sorry to hear about the attack man. All I got to say is, if you get a cover try and put some sort of pad lock on it. Maybe by adding extra eyelets. I had a Tyvek one and some scrote nicked it!!

You must resign yourself to hiding your car if you don't have a garage. Despite far more expensive machinery being parked nearby, Elises seem to provoke jealousy - perhaps impracticality suggests a playboy lifestyle. People who don't know about cars also seem to assume they're vastly expensive and deem them as a rich boy's toy.
Me, I just love driving it. The looks are a bonus.

Could always do a DIY job for around £20 you can get the rip stop fabric from that place on 1/2 way down Oldham St in Manc and a bit of shock chord from B&Q.
A bit of reinforcing ribbon for where the shock chord attaches. and after 20min cutting and sewing you have a car cover.

Advantages are you have £50 in your pocket and the scrotes won’t nick it

what i may do, is get an extra largs cover, and reverse over the end of it...un-nickable!!

our cars arent safe anywhere.

where my car is parked there is cctv (which is being checked at the mo), a 24 hour security guard and restricted access via electronic gate, and yet this shit still goes on. jealousy is a powerful emotion.
