I'm looking for recommendations for UK insurance companies for my S1 Elise 111S. I'm looking to change from the people I'm currently with due to their service being quite frankly rubbish. I also want to swap from my limited mileage SDP only policy to include Business and unlimited miles. In addition some things that are also important are:

Discount for Tracker if possible
Track day cover (don't mind an extra premium for this)
Repairs at a Lotus dealer of my choice and not at the insurance company's own "repair" shop.

Any recommendations gratefully received.

Esteem do a choice of Lotus policies.

01483.706051
£26.50 per track-day

Footman-James (?) is another name that seems to get favourable comments.

for unlimited use and business miles then Tesco or Barclaycard will be better in my experience. Esteem couldnt come anywhere near as soon as I mentioned the above.

Barclaycard will beat your renewal

neither do trackdays though
Barclaycard dont require a tracker and have the lowest excess (£100) - Tescos were giving me £700 excess !

Give them all a call though - it seems to vary wildy by individual

I know you're not meant to slate companies here - but it's Esteem I'm with. Useless is the word I'd use to describe them. Not cheap either.

Along with Tesco's, try Adrian Flux Insurances.

I used to be with Adrian Flux, and cancelled my policy when I changed cars... lots of hassle.

That said, I never claimed off them so maybe they are good at everything other than customer service!

CH

PS i think new policies at barclaycard DO require a tracker to be covered for theft... that's what they said to me when I phoned for a quote. Unless that is age / garaged dependant.

try Liverpool Victoria

my policy includes business use (I don't need it), unlimited mileage and trackday cover
