Where's a good place to get "viper" stripes supplied and fitted?

Right - outside now. wink

Mumble

Specialised got it right, it was the strategically shaved, over priced maroons that screwed it up (4 times).

No need to be worried _ just winding goobs up; fancy my chances as he's getting on a bit.

Goobs _ do you need help getting outside now you've reached the fine old age of what........?

I am a dab hand with my walking stick - youth today, big mouths and no taste for a good pasting!

If you measure up the stripes on a T25 etc then you will find that to get the stripes to look perfect, there is subtle changes in stripe width and seperation. This is very hard to replicate with vinyl. I have seen it done well and I have seen it done badly. The first couple (4) tries on my car were bad and the only time it was righ was when we gave up on vinyl and painted them on. I know people who got it right first time, mine started wonky, got worse with every attempt and now I have the piss ripped by all!

Gooby, if you don't mind me asking, how much did the stripes cost in paint?

Hmmm, that is not an easy question. I ordered the stripes on the car at delivery. It was done as a loss as part of the deal. Westover paid the lions share, insurance paid some and then I paid a little...

I can not be more accurate than that....

Not cheap for painted stripes. Specialised will give you a rought cost over the phone but I suspect £2.5K upwards if clearcoated over as well.

Painted stripes look better. Reflect the light better...

Very true. Sideways on mine lose their metallic appearance and go a dull grey as opposed to a deep glossy metallic charcoal. You get what you pay for. Lot of money for stripes though. Hell of a lot of work doing painted stripes.

Just relax -you will loose more hair....
Right zebs - you have done enough stirring. You know what Shangani is like when you wind the old fella up. His brain goes like an etch-a-sketch and wipes itself.

People could die cos he wont be able the basic procedures.

Ok Grandad, I'll behave.

If anyone needs me I'll be in my room, Goobs has effectively grounded me.
