Dead battery and Dead locks/central locking
Discussion
So, having stepped off the red eye express from my 3 month sojourn abroad, I have come to try and rebreath life into my 04 111S Elise.
However, the battery is dead. As a Dodo. Not a problem, just get a new battery. However, I cannot get into the damned car!!
The Central Locking won't fire (which makes sense) but the key turns in both driver and pasenger side locks, but doesn't pop the bolt. (The boot however does open).
I've had a quick peak for central locking issues, but found nothing relevant to my car - couple of solenoid issues with Exiges, but nothing to do with my car.
Can anyone in Lotus land shed any light on this - ideally any BoLOCs who have nothing better to do on a Sunday evening.........?

Does it not have the spare terminals to connect the charger to , under the NSF service hatch like an Exige ?
I spoke to Westover - they reckon that if I charge the battery, then I can use the central locking, and if need be, reset the locks that way - think I may give Ollie's secret squirrel way a go first though....Bing o said:

should just be able to open boot, bang a jump pack on, & then open the doors???
No, the key locks are completely dead, so I can't turn the barrel - Ollie's given me a tip on how to do it - failing that, does anyone know if Westover do visits?!!If you need to use a jump pack shout

<Takes Jump pack and heads down to the garage>
Back in 20 minutes chaps.....
ETA - It worked - I'm in!!
Now, what should I look for on a car that's not been driven for 3 months - it's low on petrol, I'll check the oil and other liquids, but what about brakes and flat spotted tyres?
Obviously I'll take it easy when I first start out but what should I look for (I haven't driven a car for three months so have probably lost a lot of what an Elise should "feel" like?

I leave my Exige S for months at a time.
I generally pump the tires up before I leave and let them down again before driving. Not had a problem with flat spots even with A048s over the cold winter months.
I have a battery conditioner and mine starts first time - I then take if for a full tank of optimax (having left it low before I go) and all is good !
