Hi all,

Well the Porsche is going and im hoping to pick up an 04 Elise 111R next week! I do have some concerns over having the soft top on through the winter and have decided that investing in a hard top would be worthwhile.

Ive read a number of post regarding hard tops for S2 Elises, however, im still confused about where to buy one and which ones are the best.

I have seen one advertised on EliseParts (carbon or gloss black) however these don't appear to be lined.

Any advice on where to get a decent hard top from would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Gary

Cheaper to buy a second hand one and then get it resprayed if necessary. Mine was £500 second hand which is a damn sight less than an EP one.

I bought a pukka lotus one on ebay in matching colour for 700 and something quid (can't remember exactly), I think its a great addition, no leaks, no noise and it also looks a bit meaner with it on. Its nice and lined and gives a much more 'pampered' feeling during the winter, given that this is my EDC its a good thing. I've heard that the unlined ones can be very loud.

Thanks for all the advice. Managed to get a deal off the local Lotus dealer. He had one in that was ordered for a customer who promptly crashed his Elise. Its gonna cost me 1K painted so not too bad.

Just picked up the car today and its even better than I thought it would be.
