Hi folks.

I'm interested in this car and was wondering if anyone knew any of the history on it. It doesn't look too common so hopefully someone will know something tongue out

I thought that too, but with the buying market as it is at the moment there seems to be several 111s's around the 8500-1000 mark.

Yep, I'm seeing that too. Definately less buyers out there at the moment. A good time to buy and get a good deal!!!

Im currently sorting a deal out for another S1 & hope we can come to some agreement. £8700 for a standard immaculate s1 with 42k on the clock.

If it's any help, I bought my S1 111s, also in yellow, in a private sale, with all services by either the factory service centre or Fibreglass Services, with 44k on the clock back in May this year for effectively £8,300 as I paid £8,700 for it, but with a second set of brand new Advan Neovas, which I've only just had to put on about a month ago, and it was serviced in April by Miles at Fibreglass Services, so it was literally 'ready to go' with no work or anything needed.

Mine had very little wear on the interior (the one your looking at looks like it has some cosmetic stuff on the interior like the pad that your backside always rubs when getting in), but does have a tiny little bit of crazing on the fibreglass in a couple of centimetre patches - one each on both the back and front, although you have to look for them. It only takes a stonechip to result in one of them, so I wasn't personally bothered, but it would be worth a couple of hundred more otherwise to some people.

I'd check the history of the car - mine came with a nice fat wallet of all previous invoices, MOTs and recall history, both sets of keys and both sets of both alarm fobs etc., and was about as well looked after as you could ever hope for.

So, from a dealer, you're probably looking at a reasonable and realistic price. Personally, I prefer to buy privately, so you can work out what the seller's like, and how they've looked after the car, so wouldn't necessarily pay a premium for buying from a dealer, but that's just me!

Either way, they're great cars :-)

Rather priced to sell. And it's in yellow but surely many people like yellow wink

Thanks bobalicious for the info. I would normally buy from a private seller but I'm having trouble selling my MX5 with the state of the market at the moment so I'm kind of forced to part-ex. I love the yellow elise and from the outset it doesn't look too bad. I've spoken to the dealer and they say it comes with a full service history and reciepts of repairs that have been carried out. I'm going to speak to them again today to see what kind of price they'll give me for my car, as I don't wanna travel 150 miles for nothing tongue out

Just a word of caution. "Full service history" often means nothing especially when a dealer says it. Managed to view one car (68k) without the C-service evidence / bills, obviously at a dealer... Make sure they have the important bills (ask them over the phone) before travelling.

Agree with what Chris says. I was lucky that mine came with a folder with every single invoice since (and including) the first bill of sale, with everything from a new coil pack to tyres and everything else inbetween. I'd make sure that it comes with all of that and not just the little stamped service book.

Although I might be biased, yellow is most definately the best colour for an S1 smile

Of course you are biased, silver or black are the best.
