Hi All,

firstly, thanks as ever for your helpful replies to my questions, you are always right!

Somebody who I let drive my car pressed the small button a few times thinking that thats how you locked it whilst the door was open.

It seems to have confused (or maybe just knock into another mode) my alarm on my 111r. Its the cobra factory fitted one. When you press the big button, the locks go down, the lights flash, but when I unlock the boot, all I get is a continuous beep rather then the expected wailing alarm that I am used to every time I open the boot forgetting the car alarm is on.

I cant seem to get it back to 'normal' and got more concerned when after setting the alarm, bumping the car with by body or opening the boot didnt set it off.

The locking mechanism and immobiliser works as expected so I dont think there is anything wrong with the alarm, just that its tripped out or has been put into passive mode?

Has anyone else had this problem and if so, did you manage to 'reset' the alarm so it behaved as normal?

Many thanks as always

C

Chico,

I dod that just after I got my S2, different alarm but same sort of problem, continuous beep. I reset it by holding the button down for about 5 seconds and it seems to ba back to normal, ie 2 flashes when setting alarm.....see how that goes.

Hi Ross,
was the the bigger of the two buttons you held down?
The guy who did it was actually the guy buying the car off me so I looked like a right chump when I was giving him the keys.
Im convinced there is nothing wrong with it but as he has the car, I cant look at it. Just worried he will come back to me claiming its bust when Im positive its just been tripped out??
