I thought it'd be interesting to see how we all use our Elises, and if there's any difference in useage between S1 and S2. smile

S1 and its my only car, but I try to avoid using it most days - I only have to commute across town and both my housemates work at the same place so normally just car pool with them.

Interesting results so far. It seems that as soon as S1 owners have access to another car they use it all the time! smile

I need a 'It's my only car but I now work across the road from my house so don't get the chance to drive it every day.' option.

Not going to vote as I'm no longer an elise owner. However, used the 111s and the 111r as everyday cars through choice.

Now I have the exige s I don't use it everyday _ ended up buying a runaround for the trip into and out of work.

Similar here - I'd have to park on street at work and it's not going to happen, so I walk four miles instead. But used my S2 everyday in the old job.

I walk about 200 yards tops.

It seems ridiculous to moan about having too short a commute but I really miss driving to work.

I have 2 cars and yet most days get a lift with my girlfriend in her car and thus leave both of mine at home. I thought about dropping down to 2 cars between us given the lift sharing. Then along comes a morning like today, p1ssing with rain, huge amounts of standing water and spray and I thank god I am not 3" off the ground on 888s trying to aquaplane my way into the office and getting soaked in the process. Suddenly the 4 wheel drive and ABS of the x-type is a godsend.

As I would have to spend 90 minutes a day in static Bristol centre traffic and then park outside of a squat, I see little sense in using my pride and joy for commuting. I have a Nissan sh*tebox for that....

I use my S1 nearly everyday. I've also got a 1981 Merc but as it's a V8 3.8 it does not get a lot of use at the moment!

Actually, just realised that I need to do some sums, as it was actually 39% of Elise owners have S2s and don't use them as daily drives...

Currently 43.3% of S2 owners only use their cars at weekends and 45% of S1 owners do the same... Oops!
