soft top "damage"

just been to an audio joint to get my bass-tube fitted (its very loud, even drowns out the engine until 70+!!!

i saw a soft top "repair" kit for tops that have wear on them (from the two beams in the middle). does anybody know if these are any good, or know a better solution?

mine's not really bad, but they do stand out when i clean the top!!

p.s., how much is a new soft top?

Hmmm, I've never cleaned my soft top. It looks a bit shabby but might scrub up quite well.

Then again it's nearly winter so there's no point as it'll get dirty, so I'll leave it till next summer.

Oh wait, I don't use it in the summer so no point cleaning it then either!
