Hey all

What sort of storage space is there in an Exige? Weekend away and things like that? Also where is it!!??

Reason I ask is I know the VX220 (similar type of car) has a small boot behind the engine, when I was looking at an Exige last week I never actually noticed any boot space here? I'm not sure whether I just missed it though!

Also wondered what was under the bonnet/front clam?

small rear boot behind engine for a squashy holdall - thats about it, nothing under the clam other than crash structure and radiator. You can get a another small squashy bag behind the seats too.

theres enough for a weekend away for 2 if you pack carefully

The opening is smaller than the elise (s2) though, I think.

LOL ..yeah, it depends...if you have a girlfriend who is an avid backpacker, and you have the right kit then Im sure 10 days camping is no probs

If you have a more regular lady who thinks 10 days hols in Europe at posh hotels will require 10 different dinner dresses and matching shoes then you need a different sportscarwink

Its a trackcar, that you can use for work at a push, and get a large squashy holdall in the boot, and a smaller one in the cabin comfortably ...if you want to travel with bin liners you *can* fit more in, by stuffing stuff into every spare nook and cranny in the cabin and around the wheelarches in the rear ...

thats the reality of itwink.....

The exige has a pretty big boot. You just can't use big bags, lots of small bags and it's amazing how much you can fit in!

Enough for 3 weeks around Europe and end up coming home with unworn clothes. You can get in what you really want to get in within reason.

my missus is like Paris Hilton and Colleen Rooney rolled into one and even she managed to go away for the weekend and not be short of her home comforts. Boot is more than adequate.

There's loads of space! For Le Mans I take in the boot a two-person tent, clothes, waterproofs, hiking boots and one of those folding chairs with a cup holder in the arm that you see everywhere. Have done a 3 week touring holiday in the S2 Elise with no packing problems and the boot in that is slightly smaller than the Exige's.

Be careful how and where you stow things though. I've had one of the light clusters rub its way through a canvas bag.

Have a look at the Travelling Light thread in the Le Mans section to see what you can do if you try. http://pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&t...

Mate if you're basing you're car-buying choices on luggage space, then maybe the Elise/Exige isn't for you....;)

I had an MR2 Roadster before the Elise, which had FAR less space then the Elise, and I still managed a 2-week trip to the highlands of Scotland for two of us. There's plenty of space as long as you don't bring cases...
