After doing Oulton Park today the brake pads on my exige s are looking pretty low, do most people go for standard lotus pads or are there any others that the majority tend to go for ?

How much £££ ?

Cat amongst the pigeons, i think pagids 42's are stE. I think i must have a bad batch or something as i am the only person who does not like them. I know it is not really a comparsion but my EBC Green's on my Tiger were better.

I've got Pagid RS14s on my 135R and on the track they are pretty awesome.

Bit slow to bite when cold driving to and from work, but not as bad as people made out.

Any good on a 111R - Presume they would be good for the road etc. Standard pads seem to be average also loads of dust.

Sorry I sound like a lame owner - but not tracked it so no need for amazing brakes.

No argument that Pagids are the best but they are also the most expensive. I'm still using Mintex 1144's and although not as good as the Pagids for heavy track use I find they are more than adequate for fast road use and they are far, far superior to the OEM pads.

Pagid RS42's for me also - superb on my old Elise and as soon as the current pads on my Exige run out, they'll be having them too.

You get twice the wear from Pagids, better retardation and fade resistance, that makes it 6 times better in my book, yet they're only twice as much. Bargain yes

Well worth a try are the EBC Yellowstuffs. Mine are now well bedded in and really are an improvement over Mintex 1144.
I've gone from lukewarm to warm to very warm on them.
If you read this Andy (Chapman) I'll happily spend my own money on them next timethumbup

I dont think that the discs are that bad its worth ripping them off if they are not worn and splashing out...unless you are racing of course - but next time you have a choice, generally the best (and longest lasting) are the AP ones...most expensive too, down from that you have the other ones that EP sell, original ones wont last long with heavy use, in fact the first 2 sets I had I was doing nearly a set of Pagids to a set of discs, then I changed to APs - sorted

Hey Tipper, decided to bite the bullet and give these new yellowstuff type R pads a try. Only £100 a set so will see how they fair at Donnington in a couple of weeks ! Got to try these things and I am coming from the Mintex 1144 like you and you say they are better so we shall see..
