We have been offered a damage repairable 2005,05 111R ( I think) in red with damage all round looks like it has been over a kerb damage to bottom all round.

The car has a pistonheads sticker in the back window any idea whose it was and the level of damage underneath

Also been offered a black one with front damage with pistonheads sticker ?

Any more infor on either of these two

Thanks
Phib

I was not the responsible party. My other half wrote it off, I replaced it with a Cooper S which she drove into a wall last week damaging the front end, oh and last night she had my Sat nav stolen by leaving it in the window of the car while she went for lunch with a friend............................guess what happened - - her window was put through.

Not the sharpest tool in the box.

Still got the SR? Still loving it?

A new Lotus is without doubt high in priority list but I think I am going to go down the second car route. An S1 Sport 160 is very high on the list as is an Exige S. Miss it so much, the Cooper S is perfectly capable but its just not the same.

I think before you buy another Lotus you should get a good divorce Lawyer;)If you dont mind me asking, how did she write it off??

Yes i still have the SR but currently toying with the idea of swapping it for an NA Exige. I will decide tomorrow after speaking to Lotus customer care as i believe the car may have been a Silverstone demo. If so then i wont bother.

Visited CN this morning for an excuse for a drive, they have excellent stock at the moment. Get yourself down there and pick up one of the Exiges that they have!!

Low speed exiting a corner in damp conditions. Rear end came round and the rest is history. Low impact but enough for the insurance company to write it off.

An Exige is really calling my name but I have a couple of things I would like to do to the house within the next year then I think I will head back to Lotus. If you are ever over this way and fancy a drive around for no reason I would happily be a willing passenger as I have lost my regular fix!
