Good lotus garrages in Yorkshire
Discussion
Hi guys
SO it looks like im getting the elise - any comments on good / bad dealers / specialists in the Yorkshire area. I live in harrogate, near leeds if that helps. Also what about a warranty - JCT Leeds offered me one for £700 including a 120 point check - any ideas where i could get it cheaper, or if it is is worth the cash. Its a 1997 r reg with 44k on the clock - full lotus history.
Cheers

Assuming the car checks out on their inspection I wouldnt worry too much about a warranty.
The only expensive bit it the engine really and most jobs you could do yourself with a little bit of guidance from the people on here and seloc.
I've had my car for just over a year and I've had a service, steering rack, clutch hose, brake pads and oil (Oh and lots of pirellis )- I knew the steering rack was dodgy when I bought it, I learnt about the clutch hose very quickly and having had all the work carried out at specialists or by myself Id reckon I've spent £1.5K on her. I knocked 1.5K off the price when I bought her due to various issues so I'm even!

markizok,
A few ( getting to be a lot now ) people use Bruce at ragtop for servicing and other work, cant be faulted.
See www.med-reg.co.uk
Not too far to travel, and he's going "mobile" soon.
Cheers,
Pete.

Hi all,
I'm another owner near York; where's Ragtop based? I'm due a service soon, and I'm not too happy that JCT haven't returned any of my calls so far...!
Also, seeing as my car's 4 and a half years old but has just crossed 25000 miles, there's a previous service which was reduced to an A rather than a B, as the car had only done 11000 miles by that point. Should I put it in for a B rather than an A service this time?
Cheers!
