does anybody have this mod? how does it compare to the sport 160 body? is it worth it?

also while on the eliseparts site, i saw the airbox at about £350. is this an alternative to an induction kit or an additional piece of kit? if its additional does anybody have it with an induction kit? what improvements did you see/feel?

and finally, im curious to know if you can "damage" the delicate set up of lotus sport suspension by adding such modifications to the car? im thinking of the difference in weight?

cheers, (i dont plan to do any of these, but just curious)

the DTHTBS are a vast improvement over the 160TB - instead of a single 52mm TB you have 4 x indivdual 42mm TBs> you really need the airbox to go with them too and a programmable ECU to map the engine properly (wont work on std ECU). The airbox is an addition to the DTHTBS instead of an open 'sausage style' foam filter and does not fit on a std car without DTHTBs. So cost of DTHTBs+airbox prob around £1K, then ECU £600 + fitting...probably gain around 10-15bhp on a std ish car - most people combine with a cam upgrade.

This set up with new cams is known as the 'Emerald kit' K04 on DVA's page www.dvapower.com and would cost around £2800 fitted
pics are also shown on the page - also try the link to DVAs 'K Series Page' to understand the technicalities and pics of the setup.

this set up is similar in design to the Sport 190 induction setup.

no worries on weight !

nope -at the moment Im running 160bhp ish with the DVA S2 155kit

my friend Dan has the DTHTBS etc on his S160...which is now S180bhp...very nice. Its really the only way to go if you want 160bhp+ out of a K series - highly recommended

its very tempting, but would i need any strengthing mods elsewhere etc?

£2500 is alot to start with and so obviously i dont want the cost to spiral!

also any mph figures to hand as in 0-60, 0-100 times, anybody? and top speed?

i cant believe how much this car has taken over my thinking...its quite sad really.

a lot of people I know run 180-200bhp on std pistons fine...unless youre tracking it every weekend then no strengthening should be necessary - just keep the rev limit the same as std

performance should be 0-60 in high 4's, 100 in 12.5ish, maybe 145mph (111S has CR box so rev limited)
