Quandary

Hi guys

This is my first post, I have been reading this forum for a while now as I have had my heart set on an Elise for ages. If I finally sell my current car this week I will be a position to make this particular dream come true

Now here my quandary - late S1 111S or early S2 (racetech or sports tourer). Depending on how much I get for my car I will have 18-19K to spend

This is going to be my only car for the next 6 months but as I do approx 25K miles a year I will probably get a banger to get me to and from work and use the Lotus to put a smile on my face at weekends.

Any thoughts or advice greatly appreciated.

If its an only car then Id get an S2 ST spec...you should be able to get a nice one for £19K. I use my S2 daily and do 25K miles a year in it no probs. I toyed with the idea of a cheap runaround for work...but then I thought Id always want to be in the Lotus....seems a shame to leave it on the drive when I goto work...particularly in the summer when I plan the scenic routes to wherever Im going

I went the S2 and a banger route - but then I have to visit darkest Salford quite often so was sure the S2 would never get out alive !
